Fara Ling (Group)

Fara is a BASI certified Pilates instructor who believes deeply in the power of movement to heal and transform. In adolescence, Pilates helped Fara mitigate mild scoliosis. Later on, it helped her rehabilitate an acute back injury and lower leg chronic overuse injuries, enabling her to move and dance sustainably, without pain. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Minor in Exercise Science from Hope College, MI, USA (summa cum laude) in 2023, Fara worked as a professional dancer and dance teacher, teaching students aged 5-82 in both Malaysia and the USA.

Her extensive movement background in dance helped herdevelop a keen eye for form and discover creative ways to communicate effectively to a diverse range of people. Fara creates structured, progressive exercise plans for private and group sessions, drawing from practical knowledge acquired in undergraduate laboratories inhuman anatomy (cadaver lab), kinesiology, physiology, and biomechanics. Clients have often described her as an attentive, calm, and kind instructor who provides excellent cues. In an increasingly disembodied world, Fara seeks to help her clients understand, appreciate, and exercise agency in their bodies. She looks forward to supporting your wellness journey!
